‘Rio de Janeiro’ depicts the Brazilian city’s Cristo Redentor (Christ the Redeemer) statue boldly silhouetted against a magnificent sunset with glowing tropical clouds. The art deco statue, standing 30m tall and outstretched arms of 28m, was built in 1931 on top of the 704m summit of Corcovado.
