Brighton Summer Time 1: The Grand Old Lady
Brighton Summer Time is a series of prints depicting the many facades of the quirky English seaside town that began life as a small fishing village called Brighthelmstone. BST 1: The Grand Old Lady is the affectionate name locals use to describe the crumbling shell of The West Pier. Built in 1866, closed in 1975 and destroyed by fire in 2003, it remains defiant against the elements, becoming more fragile with every passing storm. No trip to Brighton is complete without a photograph of this hauntingly beautiful Victorian ruin.
This beautiful unframed print comes in two standard frame size options: 5x4 inch and 10x8 inch (12.7x10.1cm and 25.4x20.3cm). Eye catching as a single print, but stunning as part of the BST triptych.
